This 2008 BMW 535xi came to AMR Automotive for performance upgrades alongside several maintenance and repair items.
Performance work
The upgrades included CTS turbos, upgraded inlet and outlet pipes, and catless VRSF downpipes. With the hardware installed, ECU Program in Calgary completed a custom tune, with output reported at approximately 400 horsepower.
Maintenance and repairs
The work also addressed worn transfer-case mount bushings, ageing front lower control arms, and oil-cooler and oil-pan gasket leaks. A transfer-case fluid service helped resolve binding in the xDrive system.
A complete four-wheel alignment finished the job. This project combined performance hardware with attention to existing mechanical concerns.
