AMR Automotive completed an engine rebuild and upgrade project for this classic 1977 Chevy C20 pickup in Calgary. The build used an LY6 iron block and included changes to the valvetrain, tuning and exhaust.
Engine work
The rebuild included honing, new rings and bearings, a variable valve timing (VVT) delete, a roller rocker trunnion upgrade and hardened pushrods. A Trick Flow camshaft, part number 30602003, was also installed.
Tuning and exhaust
The engine was custom-tuned in the shop using HP Tuners, with fuel and timing adjustments for this build. The exhaust work included SpinTech 6000 mufflers with side exits.
