This classic Ford Maverick project at AMR Automotive combined mechanical repairs, interior work and attention to the body. The aim was to address several parts of the car rather than focus only on its appearance.
Mechanical and interior work
The work included replacing the brakes and ball joints, followed by a wheel alignment. A new windshield was also installed. Inside the Maverick, the floorboards were rebuilt, the torque box was modified and the dashboard lights were repaired.
At the time of this project update, a 3D-printed dashboard housing was also being developed. That part of the project was still in progress; it should not be confused with the completed repairs shown here.
Bodywork and undercoating
The doors received bodywork and the hood was repainted. Woolwax undercoating was applied to help protect the underside from moisture and road salt.
The gallery follows the Maverick’s progress. If you have a classic car that needs mechanical repairs or a restoration project to discuss, call AMR Automotive at 403-243-2483 or request an appointment.
