This 1968 Mercury Comet came to AMR Automotive with several issues needing attention, including soft brakes.
Brake repairs
The work included adding a vacuum pump and replacing worn brake hoses. The master cylinder had leaking, deteriorated seals and was replaced with a new unit.
Fuel system and rear shocks
A new mechanical fuel pump was installed, with a backup electric pump added. The rear shocks were replaced with air shocks.
Parts for the project were sourced from Mopac Auto Supply. This was a combination of repairs and upgrades for a classic vehicle rather than a single routine maintenance item.
